Hello From the SC Low Country!! is home to Jim Davidson, singer, songwriter, guitar player, and entertainer who makes his home near Hilton Head Island. Six years after returning home from a 30+ year career in the technology field, Jim re-connected with his "musical roots" on Hilton Head and has become one of the area's hardest working and most sought-after entertainers. Not only has Jim been active as a performer (over 125 shows in 2008 alone!!), he has written a portfolio of original songs and has recorded an all-original-music CD entitled "Which Way From Here?" in Nashville, TN at Bayou Recording Studios on "Music Row" (Bayou Recording), and in Old Hickory, TN at The Track Shack. Jim's Grammy-nominated Producer, Mike Bush (Jerry Reed, Blackhawk, Buddy Jewel, Marty Stuart, Little Texas, Alabama, Reba McIntyre, etc.) did a masterful job of presenting Jim's stories in his 12 song album.

My goal for the website has been to offer my friends and customers a place to go for information about me and my music.

I have also set aside a place where I could recognize and thank all the great places that have so faithfully supported me, as I have (once again) re-invented myself. After 26 years in corporate America, it's great to be back, and an honor to be able to play my music again for the wonderful people of the lowcountry.

In the Fall of '05 and again in 2007, I moved "up the technology curve" to Bose's award-winning live-sound system ... The Personal Amplification System, or "Stick" as I fondly refer to it. Not only has the Bose PA system significantly improved the overal fidelity of my sound, it has greatly simplified my onstage setup. Since moving to the Bose, I have played 100's of live "gigs" ... many in places where I have a fan base who "knows my sound". In most every situation, people have commented about how clear and full my sound has become, and what an improvement to my show the Bose "stick" has mde. For any musicians considering an upgrade to their PA system, I highly recommend you consider the Bose solution. Information can be found at the Bose website for "Musicians" at:

I hope you enjoy Lowcountry Please let me hear from you if you have questions, comments, or suggestions about how I might improve things here in my little corner of "cyberspace".

Thanks and come again soon.

Rock on ... !!
